City of Winter Park's Emergency Notification System - OUTREACH June 1st marked the official start of hurricane season, the City of Winter Park is encouraging all citizens to go online and sign up to receive free emergency notifications. OUTREACH, the city-owned and operated emergency alert notification system, provides high-speed notification through multiple communication infrastructures including cell phones and loud speakers.

07.21 - 7.26.08 - Enzian KidsFest
Create your own movie at Young Filmmakers’ Summer Camp! Experience the art of filmmaking as you study cinematic techniques and dive into the production of an independent film. After wrapping the shoot, see your work projected on the big screen with your fellow filmmakers, family, and friends. Summer Camp is open to children entering grades 5-8.
Just want to see some fantastic films? Daily KidFest film screenings at 12:30 pm are perfect for children of all ages. So bring the kids and don't miss this rare opportunity to experience these wonderful family films the way they were meant to be seen — 35 mm prints (when available) on the big screen at the lovely and unique Enzian Theater. Individual tickets are $5.

08.23.08 - 16th Annual March of Dimes Mud Volleyball Challenge The 16th Annual March of Dimes Mud Volleyball Challenge will be held on Saturday, August 23rd at the Lee Vista Center, near the Orlando International Airport. The Mud Volleyball Challenge raises money to support the March of Dimes fight to save babies. At the March of Dimes, the nation’s third largest volunteer health organization, our mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, infant mortality, and premature birth. We accomplish our mission through programs of research, community service, education and advocacy.

09.10.08 - March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction
Signature Chefs brings together Central Florida's top executive chefs. Local community celebrities are teamed-up with the chefs to prepare a gourmet feast and a fun-filled evening. Participants are invited to bid in live and silent auctions that include priceless dining and travel packages. Guests experience an amazing evening filled with delicious foods and wine pairings and the feeling that comes with philanthropic compassion since proceeds benefit the March of Dimes. This event will be held at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando starting at 6pm.

The Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's nationwide evening walk. Walkers carry illuminated balloons to celebrate and commemorate the lives touched by cancer. Funds raised will support our mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Your participation will help save lives. Please join us in our fight against blood cancers, as we "light the night" with hope and raise funds to find a cure. Anyone can participate.
